Non-Ferrous Metals

Non-ferrous metals don't contain iron and are generally more valuable due to their properties like corrosion resistance, conductivity, and light weight.

Aluminum

Lightweight, corrosion-resistant metal commonly found in construction and packaging

Aluminum cans (UBC)
Extruded aluminum
Cast aluminum
Aluminum sheet & siding
Aluminum wheels/rims
Aluminum radiators
Aluminum wire
MLC (mixed low copper aluminum)

Copper

High-value metal prized for electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance

#1 Copper (bright & shiny)
#2 Copper (pipe, tubing)
Insulated copper wire
Copper radiators
Electric motors
Transformers
Copper turnings
Copper/brass radiators

Ferrous Metals

Ferrous metals contain iron and are magnetic. While typically less valuable than non-ferrous metals, they make up the bulk of recycled materials by weight.

Steel

The most recycled material in the world, used in construction and manufacturing

HMS 1 & 2 (heavy melting steel)
Plate & structural steel
Prepared steel (cut to size)
Unprepared steel
Sheet iron
Rebar
Steel turnings & borings
Auto bodies

Cast Iron

Heavy, durable iron-carbon alloy used in industrial applications

Machinery parts
Engine blocks
Brake rotors
Cast iron pipes
Manhole covers
Industrial equipment
Cookware
Radiators

Specialty Steel

Engineered steels with specific properties for specialized applications

Tool steel
High-speed steel
Spring steel
Bearing steel
Alloy steel
Carbon steel
Manganese steel
Chrome-moly steel

Specialty Items We Accept

Appliances (refrigerators, washers, dryers)
HVAC equipment
Industrial machinery
Electronic scrap (e-waste)
Automotive parts
Railroad materials
Demolition scrap
Manufacturing scrap
Industrial appliances and specialty metal items for recycling
Note on Large Items:

For appliances and large equipment, please ensure all fluids are drained and hazardous materials (like freon) are properly removed by certified professionals.

Items We Cannot Accept

For safety and legal reasons, we cannot accept the following materials:

Radioactive materials
Hazardous chemicals
Asbestos-containing materials
PCB-contaminated items
Mercury-containing devices
Pressurized containers
Fuel tanks (unless properly cleaned)
Medical waste

How to Prepare Your Materials

1

Sort Your Metals

Separate ferrous from non-ferrous metals. Pre-sorted materials often receive better pricing.

2

Remove Contaminants

Clean materials of excessive dirt, oil, or non-metal attachments when possible.

3

Bring ID

State law requires valid ID for all transactions. Business accounts need proof of ownership.
